• 10 . New Commercial Director strengthens Compass team

• Compass Supply Solutions Ltd, a leading independent provider of food, drinks and household goods to UK and international businesses, has further enhanced its operations by naming David Wood as Commercial Director.
  The appointment strengthens Compass’s services to existing customers in sectors such as travel, catering and hospitality while boosting the company’s moves to expand its client base and develop new markets.
  It also marks a return to familiar territory for David, who was a co-founder of Compass in 1996 and spent 11 years working for the company in a variety of roles before leaving to establish his own business.
  David, 38, said: “Having spent so much of my career at Compass I’m absolutely delighted to be rejoining the company at such an exciting time. Recent investment and management appointments mean the business is better placed than ever to further develop its leading role in the marketplace.”
  He added: “My career has included 13 years’ experience in the duty free and travel retail sectors, so I feel my skills offer an invaluable addition to the Compass team as it seeks to expand in these and other markets both in the UK and internationally.”
  Sports enthusiast David took a sabbatical two years ago to establish a successful online sports equipment business – a venture that will continue to operate under the control of his wife.
