Dateright™ Labelling for quick and effective fresh food management
The Dateright™ labelling system is a quick, simple and efficient way for restaurants and fast food outlets to keep track of fresh food use.
Developed by SATO, Dateright will help ensure food preparation meets its regulatory obligations while reducing expensive waste.
Label designs are stored in the ‘catalogue’ memory of a portable SATO HT200e label printer. Users simply call up the required design and enter the number of labels needed - the printer automatically calculates critical factors such as ‘ready to prep’ and ‘discard’ dates at the press of a button, a label is instantly printed and dispensed ready for use.
“We see all sorts of ‘make do’ and DIY labelling in food outlets, but the consequences of getting it wrong, perhaps misreading a hand written date, can be catastrophic for a food business,” commented Richard Scott of SATO’s marketing team. “Dateright minimises this risk and helps the business save money by keeping waste down.”
The HT200e is one of the most successful printers in the SATO range. No PC is needed to run it and the stand-alone system can be mains or battery powered. It has a tiny 9” x 5” footprint, small enough to fit into even the smallest workspace, and can store thousands of different label designs for instant recall.
The Dateright system is so simple, it can be used by staff at all levels with minimum training. However, businesses have the peace of mind of knowing that it is backed by SATO UK’s national sales and service network and that the labels are made in the company’s own UK factory, guaranteeing their quality and performance.
