Royal Show - 7th - 10th July 2009
The Royal Show is Set for Success

This year’s Royal Show, the last in its 160 year history, is set for success. With excellent advance ticket sales and increased exhibitor entries, the show is promising to the best in recent years!

The Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE), organiser of The Royal Show, which takes place at Stoneleigh from 7-10 July, has announced that ticket sales are up by 55% on last year. It is especially delighted with the number of entries for all classes including livestock. Interest in membership over the last few weeks is also significantly up on 2008.

“These figures show that The Royal Show 2009 is definitely an event not to be missed,” said Denis Chamberlain, RASE Director of Communications and Marketing. “The show has always been a fantastic place to catch up with friends and colleagues, and see the very best that British farming has to offer. We are delighted that so many people have already planned to be at what promises to be a momentous occasion.”

One of the key attractions of The Royal Show is the quality and diversity of rural activities on offer. These include a booming smallholder area, an extensive farmers’ market, rural crafts, countryside pursuits and, of course, numerous opportunities to shop. The show is also one of the top equine events in the calendar, and boasts a wide range of activities from show jumping to heavy horses and driving. The Royal Show 2009 is not to be missed!

So make sure you have the 7 – 10 July in your diary! Great offers are available for booking early, including discount packages for families, students, groups and concessions. In addition, entry to the show is free for children under five.
