Royal Bath and West Show - 27th - 30th May 2009
As the Society approaches its 232nd year it continues to deliver a wonderful mix of established traditional exhibits through to the latest energy technology and contemporary entertainment. This year the traditional and highly regarded elements include the extensive competitions covering Livestock, Horses, Art, Cider, Dairy Produce, Poultry, Rabbits, Cavies, Honey, Floral Art, Shoeing, Terriers and Sheep Shearing.

Trade Stands at the Show can vary from fudge to 4 x 4. Some of the stands are of an agricultural nature, whilst others can be clothing, food, art and craft. A growing section of the Show is Eco-zone in which many aspects of alternative energy production and energy conservation are aimed at both business and the individual household.

The entertainment and features around the 242 acre site ensure enjoyment for every member of the family and include attractions that are spectacular to watch, educational, inspirational, “hands on” or just plain fun, from plaiting a Suffolk Punch horse, getting scientific in Imagineering to watching a man being fired from a cannon. The Countryside plays a large part in providing entertainment where you can take a gentle stroll along the Woodland Trail, for the more energetic a paddle on the lake in a canoe, and for those adrenaline seekers have a go on the 4X4 Xtreme off road course.
